Grenfell Tower: Police say fire started in fridge-freezer

The Metropolitan Police have said they are considering whether to bring manslaughter and breach of health and safety charges against anyone involved in the construction and refurbishment of Grenfell Tower.

Officers have confirmed that the blaze, in which 79 people are thought to have died, started in a fridge-freezer.

Detective Superintendent Fiona McCormack said insulation samples and cladding on the building had failed safety tests.
