Family tried to push Sikh gay man into heterosexual marriage

West Midlands Police say hundreds of gay and lesbian people of south Asian heritage are contacting the force after being ordered to marry someone of the opposite sex.

Ranjeep - not his real name - told his family a couple of years ago that he was gay. His father's first response was to tell him to marry a woman.
