Suicidal girl's care reflects 'wholly unacceptable' situation in England, MP says

Families are being "let down routinely across our country" in mental health care, former health minister Norman Lamb has said.

The Liberal Democrat MP was responding to the case of a suicidal girl who is due to be released from custody in 11 days.

A secure unit place has not yet been found for the 17-year-old who has only been identified as "X".
