Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer backs England lockdown

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has announced the party's support for the newly implemented lockdown in England, saying it should be used to continue vaccination efforts.

In his address to the nation he also urged the British people to "pull together as a nation."
