Coronavirus: Boris Johnson says schools will be first to open after lockdown
The prime minister has said schools will be the first places to reopen after England's latest coronavirus lockdown.
Speaking ahead of a retrospective vote on the measures in the House of Commons, Boris Johnson said the government had tried all avenues before closing schools, because education was "too vital" to be disrupted.
He said the UK was in a "sprint" to vaccinate as many people as possible.
