Hancock: 'Difficult to put timeline on exiting lockdown'
Health Secretary Matt Hancock says the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions can only happen when the "facts on the ground" show it is safe.
He added that factors included the death rate, hospitalisations, the presence of new variants, and the success of the vaccine rollout.
The question of when to exit lockdown was "state-contingent" rather than '"time-contingent", he said.
