Boris Johnson: 'Not possible to open schools immediately after February half term'
Boris Johnson has confirmed that school pupils in England will not return to classrooms after the February half-term break.
The prime minister said it might be possible to start re-opening from 8 March, if the government had met its vaccination targets.
He expressed his sympathy for parents and teachers home-schooling children and the effects on mental health.
