Conversion therapy: 'I lost the ability to experience joy'

A proposed ban on so-called conversion therapy in England and Wales has been announced in the Queen's Speech.

Joe Hyman who grew up in an Orthodox Jewish community felt he had no other option but to pursue conversion therapy.

Minister for Women and Inequalities Liz Truss said: "We want make sure that people in this country are protected, and these proposals mean that nobody will be subjected to coercive and abhorrent conversion therapy."
