Queen's birthday honours: Kate Bingham receives damehood

Kate Bingham, the former chief of the UK Vaccine Taskforce has made it onto the Queen's birthday honours list.

In her unpaid role as chair of the UK’s Vaccine Taskforce, Bingham led the procurement of vaccines.

Since the successful rollout of the vaccinations, Bingham received significant praise and has been described as a "hero".
