A heatwave is sweeping across Europe with and is expected in Britain next week.

A red extreme heat warning has been issued by the Met Office for parts of England next week, meaning a risk to life is likely as temperatures could hit 40C (104F).

Why are we seeing such brutal temperatures? Most climate scientists say the answer is climate change.

People are being warned that the hot weather could put everyone's health at risk. But where is this hot weather coming from?
