Pandemic plan was completely wrong says Hancock
The former health secretary, Matt Hancock, who led the UK's Covid response has told an inquiry into the pandemic that the country's plan was "completely wrong".
Matt Hancock said, "the doctrine of the UK was to plan for the consequences of a disaster," rather than prevent the spread of a virus.
