Chris Kaba: Firearms officers 'incredibly concerned'
The Ministry of Defence is offering soldiers to support armed police in London after dozens of Met officers stood down from firearms duties.
A former Met Police firearms officer told BBC Radio 4's Today Programme that putting troops on the street should be a wake-up call to everyone.
