Barnaby's parents: 'Nottingham attack victims failed'

The parents of Barnaby Webber, one of three people killed by Valdo Calocane in Nottingham, have said that the victims were failed.

Calocane attacked students Grace O'Malley-Kumar, Barnaby Webber and school caretaker Ian Coates on 13 June last year.

In an interview with BBC Breakfast, they criticised the lack of support following the incident, and a decision by prosecutors to accept Calocane's manslaughter plea, rather than pressing a murder charge.

Prosecutors concluded there was "no realistic prospect of conviction for murder" after experts ruled the 32-year-old had been suffering from paranoid schizophrenia at the time of the attacks.
