Old Bailey: Court evacuated and fire crews attend after fire breaks out nearby

Emergency services have attended the Old Bailey in London, after a fire broke out nearby.

Judge Mark Lucraft KC, the most senior judge at the Old Bailey, told the BBC the fire had broken out at an electrical substation housed in an adjoining building.

The BBC's Nick Johnson who was at the scene said black, acrid smoke had been rising at the rear of the building, he went on to say a fire alarm sounded shortly after the lights inside the building flickered and went off.
