Britain's 'fattest' orang-utan is put on health regime

An overweight orang-utan, who was Britain's fattest primate, has been put on a strict new diet.

Oshine had been fed on jelly, marshmallows and junk food by her owners in South Africa and weighed a whopping 100kg - double her natural weight.

But the ape has been brought to Monkey World in Dorset and is now eating fresh fruit and vegetables, and getting plenty of exercise.

Steve Humphrey has been to see how Oshine is coping with the new regime.
