Danny Alexander meets North East trade unionists

Trade Unionists across the north-east of England and Cumbria are preparing to take part in the biggest strike for over 30 years.

Workers ranging from teachers to librarians are going on strike in a day of action over changes to their pensions.

While most public transport is expected to be running tomorrow, the entire Tyne and Wear Metro will be shut down for the day.

The government insists the strike will cost Britain half a billion pounds.

So what would happen if three trade unionists from the region met a cabinet minister?
