Dredging trial to assess impact

Falmouth Harbour Commissioners have asked Plymouth University to carry out trial dredging to assess the the environmental impact it will have on the sea bed.

One of the aims of the trial is to see if rare maerl beds- made up of tiny coral-like sea creatures - will survive the dredging.
