Drought-hit Norfolk topping up water supplies in Essex

Despite the looming hosepipe ban, water is being pumped from parched Norfolk to supply parts of Essex where there will be no ban.

A scheme allows Essex and Suffolk Water to take water from the Great Ouse in Norfolk to supply Essex, said to be England's driest county, when it is needed.
