Met police: Racist language is abhorrent

Scotland Yard is facing more allegations of racism after it emerged that eight officers and another member of staff have been suspended.

In total, 20 officers are now being investigated by the police watchdog, the Independent Police Complaints Commission, in relation to 10 claims.

The Deputy Commissioner of the Met, Craig Mackey, has insisted that the force does not tolerate racism.
