Kent and Sussex newspapers look for digital boost

The latest figures for regional and local newspaper sales have revealed bad news for the South East's only daily paper, The Argus in Brighton.

The second half of 2012 saw sales fall by 19.2% compared to the same period in 2011 - but visits to its internet site are growing.

In Kent, the editor of the Gravesend and Dartford Messenger newspapers, Bob Bounds, said their use of the internet and social media had helped to sustain circulation levels.
