East of England Ambulance Service plans 'premature'

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) has been criticised for revealing turnaround plans to recruit more than 350 employees to improve patient care and staff morale, just days before official recommendations for improvements are released.

Anthony Marsh, the head of the ambulance service in the West Midlands, was called in to help the East of England operator deal with criticism over poor performance.

BBC Look East's Stewart White put to EEAS interim chief executive Andrew Morgan that it would have been better to wait for Mr Marsh's report.
