New Lower Thames crossing sites put forward

Three locations have been put forward by the government as possible sites for a new River Thames crossing between Kent and Essex, which could cost up to £5bn.

Roads minister Stephen Hammond said the Department for Transport did not have a preferred route and hoped that people would take part in its consultation.
