Dog trained to detect nuts changes life of allergy sufferer

A Worcestershire woman with a severe food allergy has had her life changed by a dog that has been specially trained to sniff out nuts.

Even the smell of nuts can send Yasmine Tornbald, from Malvern into anaphylactic shock.

Her dog, Nano, is the first to be trained to detect nuts by the Buckinghamshire charity, Medical Detection Dogs.

"It's given me a bit of independence back," she told the BBC.
