Norwich Prison workshop set up by private firm

Justice Secretary Chris Grayling has opened a new work scheme at Norwich Prison operated by a private company.

Electronics firm Green Duck, from Bury St Edmunds, is providing work for inmates to help give them job skills.

It comes as the government trials a new approach to prisoner rehabilitation.

Prisoners released from the privately-run prisons at Peterborough and Doncaster are being helped by charities and support organisations to re-settle, under the so-called payment-by-results scheme.

Matt Precey reports.
