Energy minister Greg Barker on fracking fact-finding trip

East Sussex MP Greg Barker has been on a fact-finding trip to the US to find out more about the controversial process of fracking - or hydraulic fracturing for shale gas.

West Sussex saw major protests over the summer at the village of Balcombe where campaigners feared that test drilling for oil could lead to fracking in the future.

Mr Barker, energy minister and MP for Bexhill & Battle, travelled to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to examine the process.
