Rusted Whitchurch toll bridge closes for repair

Thousands of motorists face months of disruption as a bridge across the River Thames, between Berkshire and Oxfordshire, closed for repairs.

Whitchurch Toll Bridge will remain closed for seven months before reopening next April.

The bridge owners say it has rusted and that the state of the supporting columns is a concern.
