The YouTube star, also known as Joseph Garrett, could be Britain's fastest-growing internet phenomenon.

Figures suggest that since January, the 23-year-old former barman, who still lives with his parents, is the UK's most-watched video uploader.

His running commentaries of himself playing the computer game Minecraft, in which players construct their own virtual worlds, have attracted a huge following of children who are now contacting him in their thousands.
