Cheshire Police officers wear body cameras to tackle crime

Police officers in a Cheshire town are wearing body cameras in a pilot project aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour.

As part of the trial, 24 officers in Warrington are recording incidents using the cameras which are worth £300 each.

Officers warn people when they are being filmed and footage that is deemed non-evidential is deleted after 31 days.

If successful, the scheme could be rolled out to other forces.
