South East potholes rise following wet winter

More than 20,000 potholes have been repaired across Kent and Sussex since the start of the year, BBC South East has learnt.

The figure is a 20% rise on the same period last year, when cold weather and snow affected road surfaces.

The AA said the relentless rain had left the road network crumbling.
