World Cup 2014: Walkers arrive after 1,966km trek

Three men who have walked for 100 days and passed through Argentina and Uruguay have now arrived in Brazil for the World Cup.

The England fans, from the north east of England and Cumbria, have walked 1,966km (1,121 miles) and raised more than £10,000 to buy a well for a drought-hit area of Brazil.

And there was a heart-warming end to the story as a stray dog which had followed the trio for 800km (500 miles) was reunited with its owner at the finish line.
