East Sussex volunteers rescue deer from football goal

Wildlife volunteers came to the rescue of a deer in Hailsham after it got its antlers entangled in a child's football goal.

Rescuers from East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service were called to Abbotts Wood on Wednesday after receiving reports that the animal was in distress.

They located and caught the deer before using scissors to remove the netting.

After five minutes the deer was freed and released back into the wild.
