Lightning strikes and torrential rain hit Worthing

Lightning strikes, hail, torrential rain and flash flooding have caused major travel problems in parts of south-east of England.

Roads have been closed in some regions while railway services have been disrupted with electrical supply problems caused by lightning strikes.

In Worthing in West Sussex, residents witnessed heavy storms with roads quickly becoming flooded.
