Tags for people with dementia

BBC Inside Out looks at how people with dementia who wander off and get lost are being tagged to keep track of their whereabouts.

The scheme is designed to help people with dementia live independent lives whilst at the same time reducing the stress to their families and the various people looking after them.

Reporter David Fenton reveals how tracking systems are being used by some authorities to 'tag' people so they can be found more easily.

Inside Out is broadcast on BBC One South on Monday, 13 October at 19:30 BST and nationwide on the iPlayer for 30 days thereafter.
