ss Great Britain wreck site uncovered

BBC Inside Out takes a journey to Northern Ireland to discover how the wreck site of Brunel's steamship, the ss Great Britain, has been uncovered in Dundrum Bay.

Brunel's ship ran aground in Northern Ireland after its captain made an error of judgement on a journey in 1846.

Now a team of archaeologists led by Professor Mark Horton from the University of Bristol believe they have found the site where the ship ran aground.

Inside Out's Alistair McKee joined the team as they made a remarkable discovery.

Inside Out West is broadcast on BBC One on Monday, 26 January at 19:30 GMT and nationwide on the iPlayer for 30 days thereafter,
