Gurkhas set for Arctic Circle record bid
Two Gurkhas have been talking about the exhausting training schedule required for an endurance challenge in the Arctic Circle.
Capt Jon Armstrong, 28, from Redhill, Surrey, and Cpl Arjun Limbu, 34, from Taplajung in Nepal, aim to travel around Ellesmere Island, off the north Canadian coast, in May.
The duo, who are based in Shorncliffe near Folkestone, Kent, will be skiing, climbing and kayaking around the coastline in sub-zero temperatures as they attempt to break the record of 104 days for the circumnavigation.
South East Today's Chrissie Reidy spoke to the two soldiers, who are from the Royal Gurkha Rifles.
