Alton Towers Smiler crash victims 'were in horror movie'

A mother and daughter trapped on the Alton Towers Smiler crash have spoken for the first time about their ordeal after the theme park admitted responsibility.

Chanda Chauhan, 50, and her daughter Vanisha Singh, 30, from Walsall, were in the second carriage.

Ms Chauhan was one of five people seriously injured.

She has had surgery to her stomach and, following the crash, received further treatment for a damaged liver and blood clots.

The owner of Alton Towers, Merlin Attractions Operations Ltd, has been told it faces a large fine.
