Restaurant owner jailed over peanut death
The owner of an Indian restaurant has been jailed for six years for manslaughter after a customer died from a severe peanut allergy.
Paul Wilson, 38, ordered a nut-free meal from the Indian Garden restaurant in Easingwold, but was given a takeaway cooked in peanut powder.
Mohammed Zaman was accused of cutting corners by using cheaper ingredients.
