Swan pedalo's 125-mile trip down the Thames for charity

Three scout leaders are aiming to travel 125 miles (200km) down the Thames in a swan pedalo as a charity challenge.

Colin Dippie, 49, Jane-Louise Bassett, 47 and Ash Wilson, 38, set off from Fiddlers Island, north of Oxford, on Saturday and hope to reach the Isle of Dogs by the end of the week.

It has not been entirely plain sailing - they had to haul the swan from the water after it began taking on water less than an hour into the trip.

The trio, from Hampshire, hope to raise £5,000 for epilepsy and guide dogs charities.
