'Cut out' trivial 999 Christmas calls

The wrong pizza topping, mice on the loose, and a stolen snowman are just some of concerns callers have raised with police.

Over the busy Christmas period many forces are reminding the public to dial 999 only in the case of a genuine emergency.

Devon and Cornwall Police is asking people to "free up the phones" and not call about noisy neighbours, bad parking and littering.
