Circus posters removed because of clown phobia
Posters promoting a circus visit have been taken down because a woman with a fear of clowns was terrified of driving past them.
Leighton Buzzard Town Council, in Bedfordshire, said the posters were removed at the woman's request.
The council said it was a "short-term, easily solvable problem".
Circus owner John Lawson said most people were cheered by the clown posters but has offered to try to help the woman overcome her phobia.
The fear of clowns is a recognised condition.
