Tempsford memorial to WW2 women secret agents
The Prince of Wales has unveiled a memorial to the women who were secret agents during World War Two.
The memorial, at what was RAF Tempsford in Bedfordshire, is dedicated to 75 women, mainly British and from all over the country, who put their lives on the line as members of the Special Operations Executive.
Most were dropped by parachute on moonlit nights behind enemy lines. Many were captured and 16 were killed.
