Escaped rhea filmed running across field near Brent Pulham
Footage of an escaped rhea running across a field has been filmed on the Essex/Hertfordshire border.
The ostrich-like bird, which can run at speeds of up to 40mph (60km/h), was believed to have escaped from a smallholding in the village of Brent Pelham last year.
Last May, another escaped rhea, from the same smallholding, was shot at Barkway Park Golf Club near Royston by a gamekeeper.
Hertfordshire Police said it was up to the owner to catch it and they would not get involved unless it was believed to present a danger to the public.
The bird's owner has told the BBC he did not believe the rhea posed any risk.
