'Pirate dog' who lost eye in cat attack is 'longest-stay dog'

A one-eyed "pirate dog" who lost an eye after being attacked by a cat has become the "longest stay dog" at an RSPCA centre.

Since June 2016, Tyson has been staying at Blackberry Farm Animal Centre, near Aylesbury, in Buckinghamshire.

The RSPCA said he can "pull off the pirate look", but cannot be homed with anyone with a cat, as he lost his eye when a cat scratched it.

"He's very relaxed in his temperament, he likes to lounge about for most of the day with a chew," said Trish Waller, RSPCA Blackberry Farm Animal Centre.

The five-year-old Rottweiler-cross, who loves "a cuddle", is hoping someone will adopt him and is described as a "sweetheart".
