Queen feeds banana to elephant during Whipsnade Zoo visit
The Queen has fed a banana to an elephant during a visit to Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire.
She fed seven-year-old Donna the fruit while visiting the zoo with the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Queen also met other members of its nine-strong Asian elephant herd, including Kayleigh, Luca and eight-month-old calf Elizabeth, named in recognition of the monarch's 90th birthday last year.
The £2m Centre for Elephant Care at Whipsnade includes more than 700 sq m (7,500 sq ft) of indoor space, and a new viewing platform.
