Camel calf plays after being born at Whipsnade Zoo

A camel has been born at a zoo for the first time in eight years.

Bactrian Camel calf Sally was born at Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire in April following a 12-month pregnancy.

Keeper George Spooner said Sally began walking within hours, but is still getting used to her "very long, gangly legs".

She has been exploring her paddock and getting to know mum Izzy, 12, and dad Oakley, 4.
