Tony Watson to receive sight-saving drug on NHS
A Berkshire man has won an 18-month battle to receive a potentially sight-saving drug on the NHS.
Tony Watson, from Wokingham, had been taking injections of the drug Lucentis to stop a rare eye condition from destroying his vision.
NHS Berkshire had refused to continue the treatment on financial grounds, but says it will now treat Tony with the drug, as the cost has gone down.
