River death numbers 'worryingly high'

A "worryingly high" number of people have died in rivers in the warm summer weather, Berkshire fire and rescue service has said.

It says five people have died in the past month, including a 12-year-old boy who got into difficulty in the Jubilee River in Cippenham, Slough, on 31 July.

On Wednesday, a man died in the River Thames at Caversham.

The fire service is warning people to think of the dangers of going into the water in the warm weather.
