Berkshire NHS teams use social media to tackle anorexia

The NHS in Berkshire has been using social media to help patients suffering from anorexia recover and stay well.

Research suggests anorexia has a higher death rate than other mental illnesses and that as many as one in five sufferers dies prematurely, either from medical complications or through suicide.

The new supervised online network is proving so successful and is now being adapted to help people with other psychiatric disorders.
