Newbury's Parkway developer blocked from selling homes

A developer in Newbury has been legally blocked from selling any more luxury flats because of delays in providing the promised social housing element of the development.

The Parkway complex in the centre of town has 37 as-yet unoccupied affordable flats.

West Berkshire Council, which has more than 2,000 people on its housing waiting list, says Standard Life Investments must fulfil its obligations quickly.
