Newbury Mini Band receive 'surprise' Reading Festival news
A band whose youngest members are 12 years old have been told the surprise news they will be playing the Reading Festival.
The Mini Band from Newbury in Berkshire became an overnight sensation in 2011 when their cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman went viral, getting more than 8.6 million hits.
The five-piece have been invited to meet Metallica, who are headlining the festival on Saturday, but were not aware of the second surprise of playing on one of the stages.
They were told the news that they are opening The Pit stage on Saturday during an interview on BBC South Today.
